Lettered Edge

One major variety of the 1793 Flowing Hair Large Cent (Penny) features a lettered edge. The text and words: "ONE HUNDRED FOR A DOLLAR" followed by one or two leaves is depicted along the edge of the coin.

Strawberry Leaf

One extremely rare variety of the 1793 Flowing Hair Large Cent (Penny) features a strawberry leaf on the obverse of the coin. Typically there is a three-leaf trefoil sprig but this variety has 4 leaves. Only 4 of these coins are known to exist and one recently sold for over $10 Million! This is the most valuable large cent variety.
