The US Mint celebrated the 30th anniversary of the American Silver Eagle coins in 2016. This coin is different than in previous years and the 2016 bullion silver eagle - as it features a lettered edge containing the words "30TH ANNIVERSARY" instead of the reeded edge. Note how the edge is otherwise smooth without the reeding.
